The tallest building in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District topped out recently. When it is finished later this year, the tower at 412 W. 15th St. will provide top-floor views from 18 stories over the neighborhood.
Together with a connected historic building, the tower features 250,000 square feet of commercial space, including innovative workplaces and ground-floor shops. Developer Rockpoint Group also includes outdoor space on six terraces totaling 8,000 square feet.
“It’s important for the modern office to feel inviting, comfortable and adaptable to ever-changing needs,” said Nancy J. Ruddy, co-founding principal of architecture firm CetraRuddy. New office spaces need to offer employees ways to “work, socialize and relax,” she added.
