Taurus Investment Holdings has acquired Civica Center, a 47,346-square-foot retail facility in Miami. The sales price was $30.5 million. Located adjacent to SR-836, the property also includes a nearly one-acre parking lot and an adjacent 4,200-square-foot building. The seller was not disclosed.
Taurus intends to expand and redevelop the existing 47,000-square-foot Civica Center into a 62,500-square-foot property comprised of medical office and ground floor retail. Taurus will also construct a 460,000-square-foot medical office tower on the existing parking lot.
“We feel that this acquisition is uniquely located in the heart of the Health District, and will provide much needed supply of medical office and research space to the area, resulting from new allocations made to medical research and development, due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Peter Merrigan, CEO at Taurus.
