TearLab Moving to Texas

The migration of California companies to Texas continues.

This time it’s TearLab, a medical-device firm that is based in San Diego.

The firm will still have a presence for research and development in the area. It is unknown how many of its 130 employees will be transferred to the Dallas area.

Among the other firms that have moved to Texas from the San Diego area are the Active Network, Omnitracs and Websense, all of which are owned by Vista Equity Partners.
