Martinrea Metal Industries announced it would build a technical center in Auburn Hills, MI. The new center will employ 60, and is estimated to generate approximately $1.7 million in private investments.
The new facility means the Canadian company can combine its sales and engineering office with its testing labs into a single, expanded location. It will also become the company’s U.S. corporate headquarters. The project is expected to be completed by next summer.
The company is part of Martinrea International, and produces steel and aluminum metal parts, modules and fluid management systems for the automotive industry.
