Tech Firm Relocates into Downtown San Diego

Mitek is relocating its HQ into Downtown San Diego from Kearny Mesa. The mobile capture and identity verification software solutions firm took 29,000 square feet of sublease space at Lincoln Property Co.’s 600 B Street, a 24-story, nearly 360,000 square-foot office tower.

Mitek’s James DeBello says, “This new space will play an important role in our ability to remain at the forefront of the mobile capture and identity verification industry by allowing us to grow our organization and attract new talent.”

Colliers International’s Ron Miller represented the tenant. Cushman & Wakefield represented the sublessor.

Miller says, “The appeal of urban creative office space, an expanding ‘millennial’ workforce, and the energetic vibe is drawing tenants from suburban markets and driving down vacancy rates below 10%.”

The tenant will begin moving into the ground floor office space this month.
