TechSpace has unveiled plans to open a 46,000 square-foot co-working space at 2101 CityWest Blvd., in Houston’s Westchase District. In addition, the technology-oriented co-work space company has an eye toward opening additional co-working spaces in four other Houston locations owned by a REIT that is being established as part of the Parkway Properties and Cousins’ $2 billion merger. The properties are San Felipe Plaza, Phoenix Tower, Post Oak Central and Greenway Plaza.
TechSpace and Parkway have already partnered on a co-work location in Austin, at 98 San Jacinto Blvd.
The tenant will build and operate its business model at the CityWest location, expected to come online in April 2017, before branching out to the other buildings. Brenden McGee with TechSpace said there should be “significant traction” from energy companies and other startups.
