Tegna Selects Tyson’s Boro Tower for 60,000 SF HQ

Tegna is relocating its HQ to The Boro, a four-million-square-foot mixed-use TOD project in Tysons, VA being developed by Bethesda, MD-based, The Meridian Group. Tegna becomes the first office tenant, pre-leasing 60,000 square feet in the top floors of the 440,000-square-foot Gensler-designed Boro Tower.

The tower is scheduled to break ground later this summer and is part of Boro’s 1.7-million-square-foot initial phase.

CBRE’s Terry Reiley represented Meridian. Tegna was represented by CBRE’s Meredith LaPier and Rob Faktorow.

Formerly named Gannett Co. Inc., Tegna holds a portfolio of media and digital businesses, including 46 television stations, Cars.com, CareerBuilder and G/O Digital. The company is relocating from its current headquarters in McLean, VA.
