Terra Readies for 47-Acre FL Development’s First Phase

Terra Group moved one step closer to breaking ground on the mixed-use Pines City Center by acquiring 17.2 acres for the project’s first phase of development. The Miami, FL-based developer paid $15.9 million for the land, on which a 200,000-square-foot retail center, anchored by Publix, will be situated.

Pines City Center is located in Broward County, FL, at Pines Boulevard and Palm Avenue. Upon completion of both phases, the 47-acre development will offer 300,000 square-feet of retail, entertainment and restaurant space, and a 385-unit multifamily property. The overall master plan calls for a grocery store and movie theater, as well as junior anchors and free-standing restaurants.

Rod Castan with Courtelis Co. is overseeing retail leasing on the project.
