Three Texas airports made the top 10 list of Upgraded Points’ “most pet-friendly list” in 2018. Austin-Bergstrom International came in sixth place, Dallas Love Field was ranked No. 8, and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport rounded out the list in 10th place.
The researchers at Upgraded Points noted that the rankings focused on amenities (such as pet parks, real versus fake grass, and space to run and play) as well as on-site boarding and daycare facilities.
In Austin, the researchers liked the landscaped, well-lit “Dog Walk,” while applauding Bark and Zoom, a deluxe pet boarding facility on airport property. Love Field, in the meantime, boasts a pet park that “is large enough for any animal to stretch, run and relieve themselves,” while DFW was acknowledged for its four designated pet-relief areas inside security, and the multiple areas for pet relief outside. Furthermore, nearby Paradise 4 Paws cares for pets while owners are away.
