Texas Children’s Hospital opted to continue operating its Sugar Land Health Center at Sugar Land Medical Building II. The healthcare organization renewed its 42,198-square-foot lease at 15400 Southwest Fwy. In the far southwest Houston suburb.
David Bale with JLL represented the tenant in negotiations with landlord Healthcare Trust of America, which was represented in-house by Evan Saks and Amanda Houghton. Texas Children’s Hospital is the lead tenant in the 60,334-square-foot medical office building, which delivered in 1999 and was renovated in 2005. Healthcare Trust of America acquired the asset in 2005.
The Sugar Land Health Center provides specialty care and treatment for a variety of pediatric diseases and conditions. The center is staffed by Texas Children’s physicians, surgeons, therapists and clinical staff who specialize in 25 different pediatric subspecialties, including pediatric radiology and other diagnostic services (X-ray, ultrasound and EEG), orthopedics, sports medicine, ENT (otolaryngology), and cardiology (including echocardiograms), among others.
