The old cliché is that everything is bigger in Texas. According to a report released from LendingTree, that includes house size, as well. The online financial services company studied data from its property value database, and determined that Houston had the top ranking when it came to housing size, coming in at 1,952 square feet. Following in the top 10 were Dallas (ranked 4th, at 1,862 square feet) and Austin (ranked 5th, at 1,861 square feet). San Antonio was ranked 20th.
LendingTree also noted that the Lone Star State has been steadily adding new residents. “More new homes means larger homes,” the company said.
