Texas Tech to Take Space in Pantex Amarillo Complex

Texas Tech University will be leasing 16,000 square feet at the new, under construction, 343,000-square-foot Pantex Administrative Support Complex, in Amarillo, TX. Texas Tech will collaborate on 3-D printing and additional research at the Pantex Plant.

The Pantex Plant dismantles nuclear weapon, and conducts surveillance on the stockpile and aging weapons. The new Administrative Support Complex, overseen by Consolidated Nuclear Security, is a step up from the aging infrastructure in which employees currently work. The building, which will be completed in August, is at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 2373 and SH 60.

The complex will provide office space for up to several hundred federal and contractor employees. Consolidated Nuclear Security is interested in leasing the facility, which is being developed by Lawler-Wood LLC.
