Textile Firm Relocates to Industry City

Cowtan & Tout, a decorative textile company, has joined the tenant roster at Industry City in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood. In a relocation from Manhattan, Cowtan & Tout will bring both office and warehouse sides of its business to Industry City, taking more than 23,200 square feet.

The company’s space at Industry City will act as the headquarters for Cowtan & Tout’s design studio and atelier, serving as a potential satellite showcase space for its five brands.

The open-plan space will include a textile design studio, meeting rooms, open workspaces, photography areas, workshops to mockup designs in progress, and a handful of small offices. The warehouse will store wallpapers, fabric inventory, and U.S. samples, along a small manufacturing, shipping, receiving, and inspection center.

Industry City was represented in-house by Jeff Fein, SVP of leasing. Cowtan & Tout was represented by JLL’s Owen Hane, Kevin Duffy, and Frank Coco.
