All of the retail spaces at The Williams now have signed leases. That’s a big accomplishment for the new, 13-story, 33,400-square-foot, mixed-use development in Brooklyn’s South Williamsburg neighborhood.
Midwood Investment & Development carefully filled the space at 282 S. 5th St., with services for both the broader neighborhood and the residents of the 82 apartments at The Williams.
“We made a deliberate effort to ensure that relevant lifestyle retailers would be included,” said Ron Bondy, executive vice president of leasing at Midwood. “Through this unique retail mix, The Williams provides local residents with convenient commercial options along Broadway Avenue.”
The newest leases include Downtown Natural Market, an organic and natural foods grocery store, which leased 7,200 square feet. Dime Community Bank leased 3,200 square feet. Midwood had already signed tenants including Kiddie Academy with 8,000 square fee,t and Blink Fitness with 15,000 square feet.
