Thor Lands Two Leasing Deals in One Week

Thor Equities has secured two full-floor leases in the space of a week. In the larger of the two deals, not-for-profit club The Squash Center has committed to the entire 13,400-square-foot fifth floor of 25 W. 39th St., and plans to begin offering amateur training to adults and children there beginning next spring. The historic Garment District property opened in 1907 as the Engineering Societies Building.

In another full-floor lease, Harklinikken, a Danish company that offers customized hair loss treatments for men and women, is opening its first New York City office clinic and showroom in a 5,745-square-foot prebuilt at 139 Fifth Ave. in the Flatiron District.

An Avison Young team of Arthur Mirante, John Ryan and Patrick Steffens represented Thor in both deals, along with Thor’s Jonathan Scheinberg. Ellen Herman and Allison Buck of JLL represented The Squash Center, while Arik Efros of Douglas Elliman advised Harklinikken.
