Thrill Seeker Alert: Slide into the U.S. Bank Tower, Literally

It is not often a novel idea reaches such lofty heights in Los Angeles. Yet, a glass slide is slated to become an attraction 1,000 feet above DTLA.

Singapore-based OUE Ltd. plans to open a fully-enclosed slide on the side of the 72-story U.S. Bank Tower. For $8, thrill-seekers will be whisked from the 70th floor to the 69th.

The slide experience is part of a $50-million renovation underway at the West Coast’s tallest building, located at 633 W. 5th Street. An observation deck and bar on the top floors, called OUE Skyspace L.A., is being created for tourists, and is set to open in June.
