TIAA-CREF Goes Large in Mountain View

TIAA-CREF, the New York City-based Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association-College Retirement Equities Fund, recently purchased a Mountain View office portfolio for $150 million.

The three buildings were sold by PSAI Realty Partners, which acquired the assets in 2003. The properties are now 100-percent leased and mostly occupied by technology firms. Tenants include Awake Networks, Couchbase, and Jah Jah Productions.

TIAA also owns the Charleston Plaza shopping center in Mountain View, which was built in 2006, and has tenants such as REI, PetSmart, Chipotle, and Starbucks.
