Tishman’s 240,000SF Times Square Makeover

Times Square is getting another makeover. This time, owner and developer Tishman Realty Corp. is redeveloping the long stretch of 42nd Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, branded as the E-Walk. The five-level, 240,000-square-foot “retail and entertainment” complex will offer double-height, anchor spaces with up 50,000-square-feet, along with multiple small-tenant configurations — plus another 20,000 square feet for billboards.

The redevelopment will be finished by 2020.

“We believe retailers and entertainment operators will embrace the proposed co-tenancy, modern physical plant and branding potential a project this size and location offers,” said Patrick A. Smith, vice chairman of retail brokerage for JLL, which is representing Tishman.
