Trammell Crow Acquires Land for Residential Project

Dallas-based Trammell Crow Residential Co. reportedly acquired 9.4-acres of land at Millenia in Chula Vista from an affiliate of Dallas-Based Stratford Land Co. for $15.45-million. The residential developer proposes building Alexan Millenia, a 309-unit multifamily project, with nearly 6,500 square feet of retail and restaurant space, and 602 parking spaces.

Millenia is a 210-acre, mixed-use project being developed in phases over 20 years. Plans include more than 3,000 multifamily residences, two million square feet of office space and 1.5 million square feet of retail space, as well as public open spaces and civic amenities.

Millenia is designated as a SANDAG Smart Growth Urban Center, and is planned for certification under the LEED Neighborhood Development program.
