Tustin Legacy Getting New Retail Center

Tustin Legacy is getting a new 22-acre shopping center, pending approval from the Tustin City Council.

Regency Centers hopes to begin construction next year on the 248,292-square-foot development called The Village at Tustin Legacy. Planned tenants include a grocery store, medical offices and other outlets. Supermarket chain Stater Bros. and drugstore retailer CVS are among the tenants already on board. Hoag Hospital will oversee 150,000 square feet of the center, including the medical-office portion, as well as an 80-bed hospital.

Construction on the project is expected to start in 2016, with completion scheduled for three-to-five years.
