Two Hotels Approved in Downtown Riverside

Irvine, CA-based Greens Group received approvals for two hotel properties in downtown Riverside, CA, near the Convention Center. The developer plans to build a Hampton Inn and an extended-stay hotel, likely a Home2Suites by Hilton, on the 1.2-acre former car lot site.

Plans call for a 112-room Hampton Inn and a 147-room extended stay hotel, which Greens Group’s Atman Kadakia says will help accommodate the “built-up demand” from the recently expanded convention center.

The company expects to move forward on the construction phase in the fall, and plans to open prior to the 2017 holiday season. The hotels, which will each have an indoor pool and fitness room. are located at the corner of Fifth and Market streets, across from the Hyatt Place.
