U.S. Bank has provided developer Southwest Value Partners with a $175.5 million construction loan for the development of Amazon’s operations center in Nashville. Amazon leased 500,000 square feet of space at the 566,000-square-foot tower in July.
Located at 1001 Church St. in the 15-acre Nashville Yards mixed-use development, the 20-story tower is expected to open in 2021.
Amazon plans to employ 5,000 office workers in the building, which would place the company among Nashville’s top 10 employers. In addition to its lease at the development, Amazon also retained the right to expand to a second high-rise tower planned near the first.
