UCLA Extension Relocates Westwood HQ to Douglas Emmett Building

UCLA Extension is relocating its administrative headquarters to Douglas Emmett’s 10960 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles, four blocks from its current location at 10955 Le Conte Ave. in Westwood Village. The university signed a long-term lease totaling 51,452 square feet on two floors joined by an interconnecting staircase.

“It was very challenging to find 50,000 square feet of contiguous space in a submarket with such limited inventory,” said Savills Studley’s Craig Jablin, who noted the availability “at 10960 Wilshire was roughly 20% shy of the university’s requirement.” Savills Studley structured a solution for UCLA by “being a part of the solution.”

Savills Studley elected to vacate its existing 10,000 square feet of space at 10960 Wilshire. The brokerage firm relocated into 11,000 square feet of new space at 1100 Glendon Ave., another Douglas Emmett building.

Jablin represented the tenant, while LA Realty Partners’ Peter Best represented the landlord in both transactions.
