San Francisco-based Stockbridge Capital Group retained Phoenix-based Vestar for a management assignment of Mira Mesa Marketplace, a 487,807-square-foot regional shopping center in San Diego. The retail asset is 100% leased to such retailers as Home Depot, Barnes & Noble, Old Navy, Ross and CVS.
Vestar’s Patrick McGinley says that by adding an experienced and creative property management firm, he’s confident an experience will be created that positions the center above the competition.
Vestar’s San Diego area management portfolio encompasses nearly two million square feet of retail space including Clairemont Town Center, Marketplace at Windingwalk, Penasquitos Village and Rancho San Diego Towne Center. Over the past 12 months, Vestar has added more than four million square feet of institutional-owned retail assets to its portfolio, bringing total assets under management to 26 million square feet.
