Marcus & Millichap completed a $13-million sale of a 41,516-square-foot office asset in Carlsbad, CA. Located within ViaSat’s 600,000-square-foot campus at 2350 Campbell Pl., Building 7 includes lab space and has nearly four years remaining on its 10-year NNN lease. ViaSat is a $1.4-billion satellite communications firm, and Carlsbad’s largest employer.
The LEED-CI Gold-registered building contains such sustainable design elements as high-performance HVAC and lighting systems, healthy indoor air quality, drought-tolerant landscaping, recycled water for landscape irrigation and detention pond overflow, as well as such amenities as basketball and volleyball courts.
Marcus & Millichap’s Ben Tashakorian and Scott Hilmen represented the seller, an undisclosed private investor.
Tashakorian says, “Built specifically for ViaSat in 2009, the property is one of 11 buildings in the ViaSat campus in Carlsbad’s affluent Bressi Ranch development.”
