Weston Leaves Marcus & Millichap for CBRE

Stewart I. Weston, one of SoCal’s more accomplished leaders in multifamily investment sales, has joined CBRE Group, Inc. as an executive vice president in the Capital Markets group. Weston left Marcus & Millichap, along with John Montakab, and two support staff.

Weston brings more than 25 years of experience, including completing more than $3 billion in sales transactions while at Marcus & Millichap. Based in Newport Beach, CA, he will report to Chris Akins, who is responsible for CBRE’s U.S. multifamily sales platform.

Akins says, “Stew’s transactional expertise and in-depth market knowledge of Southern California, combined with his outstanding relationships, provide an unparalleled perspective on the multifamily market.”

Weston and Montakab had been part of a Marcus & Millichap IPA team that included Alexander Garcia, Jr., Christopher Zorbas, and David Sperling.
