The Mayflower Mover Insights Study lends offers a look at the reasons why millennials are moving and the cities they are favoring. According to the study, with 1,000 respondents between the ages of 18-35, “41% of millennials are vacation movers,” meaning they relocate to a new city knowing that it will be a temporary move. Additionally, 53% of those surveyed said that they intend to make a “vacation move” within the next five years.
So, what are the top reasons why millennials migrate with no intention of settling permanently?
- work at a new job – 40%
- lifestyle of experience – 30%
- find a new job – 26%
