A New Arena for Boise, Maybe

Agon Sports and Entertainment, which owns the minor-league Boise Hawks baseball team, is planning to build a 5,000-7,500-seat arena in downtown Boise, ID. The plan is to have both the Hawks, and a second-tier men’s professional soccer team play in the venue, which is currently home to the St. Luke Business Center.

Jeff Eiseman with Agon Sports is working to assemble a 15 to 20-acre site of properties that are bounded by Americana Boulevard, Shoreline Drive, Spa Street and 14th Street. In addition to the stadium, Eiseman is envisioning a mixed-use development containing office, retail and residential product.

St. Luke’s, in the meantime, announced its intentions to consolidate employees at the downtown Boise medical center. The medical system does not, however, address selling its property to Agon Sports.
