With a nod to the property’s previous life as the headquarters of Sears, EQ Office has given a name to the centerpiece of its $500-million renovation program underway at the base of Willis Tower. Known as Catalog, the five-story space will offer a mix of restaurants, first to market retailers, entertainment options and fitness boutiques.
“Catalog represents everything we love about Chicago, from the energy of the neighborhoods to the diversity of the city’s design and architecture,” said David Moore, SVP and portfolio director, EQ Office.
As previously reported, the space will be anchored by food hall operator Urbanspace, which will occupy 14,000 square feet within Catalog. In all, there will be more than 300,000 square feet of new retail, dining and entertainment space at the tower’s base, along with 150,000 square feet of new space for tenant use within the tower and a 30,000-square-foot deck and garden.
