Michigan-based Wolverine Worldwide leased a 720,000-square-foot facility at the Crossroads Logistics Center in Beaumont, CA. The global footwear and apparel company will use the site as a national distribution center for the Wolverine brand and to support e-commerce business.
The master-planned project, owned by an affiliate of USAA Real Estate Co., and under development in partnership with McDonald Property Group, is scheduled for completion in June 2017. The initial development includes installation of automated material handling equipment.
The East Inland Empire location at 4th Street and Prosperity Way between two active ground FedEx facilities, is expected to help shave seven days off delivery times. The company considered other sites for the new facility in Utah, Nevada, Arizona and Northern California.
Walker Company’s Raymond Walker represented the tenant. CBRE’s Darla Longo, Barbara Emmons and Joey Sugar represented the landlord.
