Susan Branscome has had a long career in commercial real estate, ranging from 13 years as a construction lender to being one of the few women in the U.S. to launch a commercial mortgage banking firm. At the time she launched Quest Commercial Capital, in 1998, Branscome was a pioneering female in a male-dominated world. She and her team joined NorthMarq in 2014 when Quest was acquired, and today she leads the lender’s Cincinnati and Louisville office.
Over a 40-year career, Branscome has originated more than $3 billion in debt for all property types. For NorthMarq, she manages client relationships with more than 25 life insurance companies, which rely on NorthMarq to originate and service CRE loans throughout the region. Owners and developers use Branscome and her team to find the most competitive loan terms available.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose Branscome as one of the 2019 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
Branscome’s entrepreneurial spirit was renewed when she founded a new organization, called LeadingShe, to help women take charge of their careers by learning from others. In her new podcast series which debuted Oct. 23, Branscome interviews other courageous female leaders who share their stories and insights to success.
