Women in Real Estate 2019: Highpoint’s Nichole Dunphy Brings People Skills to Engineering

Highpoint Engineering’s Nichole Dunphy is a seasoned project manager with 18 years’ experience working in the civil engineering field and specializing in private-sector commercial land development.

An attribute that sets her apart in the space is that she’s known as a people person. Dunphy commands respect because not only does she have a solid handle on all the facts surrounding her projects, but also understands how to relate to people and all the different personalities involved.

Performing as a project manager provides Nichole the ability to speak from experience. Leading meetings with project stakeholders can range from abutter meetings in living rooms, to construction meetings in trailers with general contractors, site contractors and tradesmen. It can mean presenting in front of a zoning board, meeting with public utilities or discussing projects with private developers in their boardrooms. It takes a certain type of individual to command respect in a variety of situations, something Dunphy does well.

These are just some of the reasons we chose Dunphy as one of the 2019 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.

Separate from her operations side of the business, Dunphy is involved in local organizations such as the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. She also organized two professional development networking groups.
