Based in Charlotte, NC, Panorama Holdings’ Jane Wu brings exemplary leadership, passion, and expertise to bear in turning her vision into an award-winning project. A prime example is the 377-unit luxury apartment project Blu at Northline near the UNC Charlotte campus. At the time the project was initiated, the submarket had few new multifamily properties and most had below-average rents.
Leading a disciplined due diligence effort, Wu decided that luxury amenities would be a differentiating factor. It was the “right decision” as the last occupancy permit was granted, and more than 77% of the units were leased. Icing on the cake was a development that was commanding higher than expected lease rates.
That’s just one reason we chose Wu as one of the 2019 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
Along with being actively involved in economic development initiatives, Wu is also founder of the North America Chinese Chamber of Commerce (NACCC). She established the group when she couldn’t uncover an existing organization that catered to the needs of Chinese individuals and corporations vying to invest in this country. In addition to opening doors for investment, NACCC takes its mission to the next level, assisting constituents in the smooth transition into the economic, cultural and social environment of the U.S.
