In the face of adversity, Liz Berthelette, who serves as Research Director at Newmark, has illustrated her leadership, creative thinking, and adaptability. Despite the challenges that COVID has brought to the industry, Berthelette has managed to lead her team and efficiently overcome the drawbacks that would have made others balk.
Berthelette has tirelessly supported her team, ensuring their productivity, and engaging them while they adjust to the new normal of working from home. Moreover, she exemplified organizational innovation for the company by producing a weekly report for internal and external clients. The report highlights key metrics and market updates during the pandemic and has been viewed by clients and leadership within the company. Her quality work has not only provided efficient, timely, and crucial information — it also promoted Newmark’s local media presence.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose Berthelette as one of the 2020 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
She has become actively involved in fundraising for CREW Boston’s Education Foundation and also volunteers at the Bellingham Planning Board, reviewing projects and developments that will better her community. Berthelette manages to do all this and more, keep her team motivated, and promote her company while working from home.
