The Wall Street Journal named Darcy Stacom “Queen of the Skyscrapers.” Most recently as chairman of New York City capital markets at CBRE, she has closed $100 billion in sales, financing, leasehold and development transactions during a career spanning more than three decades.
Recent giant deals in New York City include the $2.25 billion sale of 245 Park Ave. earlier this year, and the creation of a ground lease at the soon-to-be redeveloped 1100 Avenue of the Americas.
Transactions like these are just some of the reasons we chose Stacom to be one of the 2017 Women in Real Estate Award winners for New York. Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of those women who’ve reached respected positions of leadership, and play key mentorship roles for others in commercial real estate.
Stacom is vice president of the board of Bette Midler’s New York Restoration Project, which plant trees, renovates gardens and restores parks in under-resourced communities. Every summer, she and her entire team work on one of the organization’s projects.
Stacom is also active with the Real Estate Board of New York, and serves on the advisory board of the New York University Schack Institute of Real Estate.
