Woodmont Plans Four-Building Retail in “Underserved” Grayslake

The Woodmont Company plans to develop Washington & Barron Commons, a four-building retail center in the Chicago suburb of Grayslake, IL. Construction is projected to start on phase one this summer.

The first phase will include an approximately 9,000-square-foot freestanding building for Kiddie Academy, and a 4,500-square-foot single-tenant building which is available for lease.  Phase two will consist of an approximate 8,000-square-foot multi-tenant building, and an approximate 3,000-square-foot single-tenant building, both of which are available for lease.

Woodmont’s Grant Gary and Robert Snider are overseeing leasing at the project.

“The Woodmont Company believes this is a great opportunity to provide retail in an underserved area,” said Gary, president of brokerage for Woodmont. “The center will be located in a dense residential community, with average income at $116,000.”

Grayslake is located in central Lake County, IL, approximately 50 miles north of downtown Chicago and 11 miles west of Lake Michigan.
