XTO Energy Sells Final Fort Worth Building

XTO Energy Inc. disposed of the final asset in its Fort Worth office building portfolio, selling the 180,000-square-foot 714 Main to Development Service Group Inc. The 24-story office building, which originally delivered in 1921, is in downtown Fort Worth at Main and 7th Streets.

JLL’s Ryan Matthews represented the seller in the sale to the Tennessee buyer, as well as the sale of XTO’s six other downtown Fort Worth assets. The energy company announced in 2017 that it was relocating most of its operations from North Texas to the Houston area, resulting in the disposition of its Fort Worth portfolio. XTO sold the WT Waggoner Building in Fort Worth to Northland Properties in August 2018.

“As one of the largest, historically-registered buildings in downtown Fort Worth, 714’s re-development upside is significant and has the potential to be a truly transformational project for our city,” Matthews said.
